Job Description

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Export Account Coordinator to join their Supply Chain team. The Export Account Coordinator will be responsible for managing intercompany and international customer accounts, ensuring proactive communication and exceptional customer service. This role involves processing orders, coordinating shipments, resolving customer issues, and collaborating with internal teams to meet business needs. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in customer service, particularly in an export or manufacturing environment, and possess strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Intercompany Account Management

· Work directly with international customers to ensure their business needs are met promptly and efficiently.

· Maintain proactive communication through periodic meetings and timely responses to inquiries via email and voicemail.

· Manage a high volume of emails while ensuring a high level of customer service.

· Oversee open order management and schedule creation to guarantee on-time product shipments.

· Provide customers with necessary information, including transfer pricing, product details, parts availability, and part number changes.

· Issue return goods forms, call tags, and credit/re-bills per company policies.

· Generate and manage customer quotations.

Coordination with Supply Chain and Manufacturing

· Collaborate with Supply Chain Planners and ATP Coordinators to ensure product availability.

· Notify manufacturing and purchasing teams about shortages and large incoming orders.

· Conduct weekly meetings to monitor production schedules and ensure timely machine assembly.

Order Processing & Logistics Support

· Process customer orders received via email or Electronic Data Interchange (EDI).

· Work closely with the shipping department to communicate special transportation requirements and changes.

· Handle order printing for shipments, booking of containers, and coordination of necessary paperwork between forwarders and customers.

Education & Experience:

· College degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

· Minimum 7 years of customer service experience, preferably in an export or manufacturing environment.

· At least 5 years of account management experience with international customers.

Knowledge & Attributes:

· Strong understanding of Freight Forwarding/Export operations.

· Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail and follow-up.

· Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

· Strong interpersonal skills with a sense of urgency and a proactive approach.

· Capable of managing multiple tasks effectively while meeting deadlines.

· Enthusiastic and able to influence others positively.

· Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

· Comfortable working with individuals across various departments and organizational levels.

· Working knowledge of export terminology, INCO terms, and letters of credit.

Technical Skills:

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel).

· Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP.

· Ability to learn and adapt to new software tools as needed.
