Payroll/HR Administrator – Temp-to-Hire OpportunityLocation: Costa Mesa, CAIndustry: ServicesEmployment Type: Temp-to-HirePartnered by: VacoVaco is partnering with a growing organization in Costa Mesa to find a Payroll/HR Administrator for a temp-to-hire opportunity. This role is perfect for a hands-on professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is experienced in managing manual payroll and HR processes while contributing to automation efforts.What You’ll Do:PayrollProcess weekly and bi-weekly payroll for 160+ employees using ADP Workforce NowReview timesheets, wages, and resolve discrepanciesEnsure accurate data entry for deductions, taxes, and benefitsGenerate and analyze payroll reports as neededAddress and resolve payroll-related inquiriesHuman ResourcesMaintain employee data in ADP (new hires, status changes, garnishments)Manage digital onboarding for new and rehired employeesProvide support and guidance on employee relations mattersRespond to HR-related questions on policies and proceduresFoster positive employee relations across departmentsAssist in policy development and process improvementBenefits AdministrationProvide bi-weekly census data to benefits broker for updates and ACA trackingCoordinate with leadership and broker on annual benefits renewalFacilitate open enrollment meetings with vendorsManage benefits deductions in ADPWhat We’re Looking For:5–7 years of HR generalist experienceMinimum 3 years of full-cycle, multi-state payroll experience for 150+ employeesStrong knowledge of wage and hour laws; moderate understanding of labor law complianceExperience with HRIS/HCM systems (ADP Workforce Now preferred)Comfortable working independently and managing multiple prioritiesDetail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent interpersonal and communication abilitiesProficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, Access)This is a fantastic opportunity to join a mission-driven team with potential for long-term growth.
