Pride Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join a healthcare team in Houston, TX 77030 . This role focuses on assisting pharmacists in the preparation, compounding, and delivery of medications while ensuring compliance with sterile product preparation standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, repackage, and deliver medications under pharmacist supervision.
• Perform activities related to controlled substances, including procurement, record-keeping, storage, and distribution.
• Ensure accuracy by entering patient details such as diagnosis, weight, and allergies in the system.
• Follow aseptic technique and infection control standards for sterile product preparation.
• Maintain medication stock levels and adhere to non-formulary procedures.
• Obtain pharmacist verification and label medications with correct dilution and expiration dates.

Qualifications

Required:

• Active RPHT-TX (Registered Pharmacy Technician - Texas State Board of Pharmacy) or Pharmacy Intern license.
• Knowledge of pharmaceutical handling standards and ability to operate sterile preparation equipment.
• Strong mathematical, reading, and communication skills.

Additional Information:

• Location: Houston, TX 77030
• Schedule: Day shift 9:30am-6pm (Mon-Fri) with a weekend rotation alternating every other weekend 7am- 3:30pm (Sat/ Sun)
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Pay Rate: $33 - $35/hour

*Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.
