Pride Health is hiring Phlebotomist II to support our client’s medical facility based in Livonia, MI 48152

Pediatric draw experience is needed at this site

. This is a Contract job with a possible extension opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Location: Livonia, MI 48152

Schedule: 8 30am-5 pm Mon-Fri

Pay Range: $18-20.50 (Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.) The rate is based on years of DIRECT EXPERIENCE as listed in the resume

Responsibilities:

• Perform blood draws and collect specimens (blood, urine, fecal) as required.
• Explain specimen collection process to patients clearly and courteously.
• Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes for accuracy.
• Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as needed.
• Review and confirm physician orders and test requisitions.
• Ensure 100% accuracy when checking specimen labels and requisitions.
• Update patient information in the system.
• Record maintenance and decontamination activities.
• Store specimens according to required conditions and temperature.
• Package specimens for transport to the lab.
• Follow infection control and safety protocols.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum 2 yrs of phlebotomy experience is required .
