*Registered Nurse (RN) Inpatient Lactation Consultant Additional Requirements:*
* *Work schedule: *Full Time & Part Time scheduling available, some weekends required
* *Education: *BSN from an accredited school of nursing. If RN has an Associate’s Degree (ADN); must complete BSN within 5 years of start date.
* *Experience*: Required 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse, for Critical Care units, 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse in a critical care setting or completion of a critical care fellowship.
* *Certification: *Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification from the American Heart Association required upon start | For Critical Care Units: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support - Within 6 Months | For Pediatric Units: Pediatric Advanced Life Support- Within 6 Months | For Infusion Center Units: Obtain chemo card- within 3 months of hire
* *Licensure:* Licensed or eligible for licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Registered Nurse or an active multi-state Registered Nurse license
*Registered Nurse (RN) Inpatient Lactation Consultant Preferred Qualifications:*
* 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in an inpatient postpartum unit
* Candidates who currently hold an IBCLC certification, or those who are within one year of obtaining their IBCLC certification.
