Degree in Physical Therapy, active Physical Therapist license and 1+ year of Physical Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

An immediate opening is available for a Physical Therapist to provide essential support within a K-12 school setting in Jamaica, NY. This position is ideal for professionals experienced in pediatric physical therapy within educational environments, delivering direct services to students to enhance their physical capabilities and participation in school activities.

Key Qualifications:

• Licensed Physical Therapist with experience in school-based practice
• Knowledge of PT interventions tailored for K-12 students
• Ability to collaborate with educators, parents, and other support staff
• Strong communication and documentation skills

Location:

• Jamaica, New York, supporting K-12 educational programs

Position Details:

• Contract assignment for the current school year (CSY)
• Option for one full-time role or two part-time roles to best meet student needs
• Hands-on involvement in assessment, treatment planning, and therapy sessions within the school environment

Responsibilities:

• Conduct evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans for students
• Implement therapeutic interventions to improve mobility, strength, and functional abilities
• Work closely with teachers and special education teams to integrate therapy goals into the classroom setting
• Maintain accurate records and progress notes in compliance with educational and healthcare regulations
• Participate in meetings and provide consultation regarding student physical needs and accommodations
