As an Access Control Officer at a leading chemical and petrochemical location, you will play a vital role in maintaining a secure environment by monitoring entry points and conducting routine patrols throughout the premises. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents and promote a welcoming atmosphere for employees, visitors, and contractors. You will be responsible for verifying credentials, managing visitor access, and providing exceptional customer service while communicating clearly and professionally. Pay Rate: $15.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeWed10:00 PM - 06:00 AMThur06:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and control access to the site, verifying credentials and authorizations for entry to restricted areas.
• Provide customer service by assisting employees, visitors, and/or contractors with access procedures and site-specific protocols.
• Carry out security-related procedures in accordance with site policies and protocols specific to chemical and petrochemical environments.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and observe for irregularities.
• Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and activities as required by site protocols.
• Collaborate with site personnel and Allied Universal team members to maintain a secure environment.
• Remain alert to potential hazards and/or unusual situations within the location and report findings promptly.

• Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a Transportation Worker Identification Credential issued by the Transportation Security Administration.
• Possess a state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
