Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) - Bilingual (Spanish)

Location: Belmont, CA (Two school sites: Elementary & Middle School)

Schedule: 35 hours/week

Pay Rate: $40-$45 /hour

Start Date: ASAP

Caseload: TBD

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) to join our team and support students in achieving their communication goals. In this role, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide speech and language services in educational settings. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate professional who enjoys working with children and making a meaningful impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the supervising SLP in implementing individualized treatment plans.

  • Provide direct therapy services to students as directed by the SLP.

  • Document student progress and maintain accurate records.

  • Support classroom teachers and staff in implementing communication strategies.

  • Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and district regulations.

Minimum Requirements

  • Graduate of an SLPA program with an associate's degree OR bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.

  • Completion of 100 hours of supervised fieldwork or equivalent clinical experience.

  • Current SLPA certification or licensure in California.

  • Compliance with professional standards of practice.

  • TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest X-ray (if applicable).

  • Current health certificate (per contract or state regulation).

  • Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements.

  • At least 18 years of age.

  • One (1) year of prior SLPA experience preferred.

  • Bilingual in Spanish (Required).

  • Caseload will be determined upon assignment.
