Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital is seeking a dedicated Infusion Center Nurse to provide both direct clinical care and essential administrative support within our dynamic infusion center. In this role, youll ensure the safe administration of intravenous therapies, coordinate infusion services, and contribute to operational workflows, including scheduling, order review, and payer communications. Infusion RN and port experience required.\nAbout the Role:The Infusion Center at NVRH sees approximately 1520 patients per day in this busy and rewarding role.\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nDeliver Safe and Compassionate Infusion TherapyAdminister IV medications and therapies following NVRH and INS standards, while monitoring patient responses and ensuring comfort and safety.\nCoordinate Clinical and Administrative OperationsManage scheduling, prior authorizations, and clinical order reviews, while maintaining effective communication with providers, payers, and care teams.\nEducate and Support Patients and FamiliesProvide clear, personalized education about treatment plans, assess understanding, and document teaching efforts to promote informed care.\nEnsure Accurate Documentation and ComplianceMaintain thorough and timely documentation in electronic health records, medication administration logs, and transfusion records in accordance with hospital policies.\n\nRequired Qualifications\n\nGraduate of an approved RN School of Nursing.\nMinimum of two years RN experience required.\nOne-year acute care experience preferred.\nBSN required.\nCurrent Vermont or multi-state compact Registered Nurse license.\nCurrent BLS from the American Heart Association. Preferred certifications: Certified Registered Nurse Infusion (CRNI)\n\nAbout NVRH\nNortheastern Vermont Regional Hospital is in St. Johnsbury, Vermont, in the Northeast Kingdom. We are a community, not-for-profit, acute care, critical access hospital. NVRH is one of two Vermont hospitals designated Baby Friendly by the World Health Organization.
