• Location: Odessa, TX 79761 (West Texas healthcare jobs)\n
• Assignment Length: 13-week travel nursing contract\n
• Start Date: December 16, 2025\n
• End Date: March 17, 2026\n
• Shift: Day shift, Friday-Sunday, 3x12-hour shifts (06:30 - 19:00)\n
• Hours per Week: 36\n
• Setting: Main Operating Room, Level II Trauma Center\n
• Orientation: 3-4 days\n
• COVID-19 Vaccine: Not required\n
• Flu Vaccine: Required (medical/religious exemptions allowed)\n
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1860-$2000\n

\n\nRegistered Nurse Qualifications\n

\n
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Texas or compact state)\n
• Minimum 1 year of recent Operating Room RN experience (2-3 years preferred)\n
• Travel nursing experience required\n
• Experience in community hospital and Level II Trauma Center required\n
• Experience with Cerner charting system preferred\n
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS (all required for OR RN jobs)\n
• Robotic XI, orthopedic, spine/neuro, general/gyn, ENT, ophthalmology, pain management, urology, vascular, and trauma experience preferred\n
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred\n
• Ability to provide care for all age groups: neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, geriatrics\n
• Local candidates within 50 miles not accepted (travel nurse position)\n

\n\nOperating Room RN Responsibilities\n

\n
• Deliver safe, effective, and compassionate perioperative nursing care to surgical patients\n
• Assist with a wide variety of surgical procedures: robotic, orthopedic, spine/neuro, general, gynecological, ENT, ophthalmology, pain management, urology, vascular, and trauma cases\n
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes\n
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Cerner electronic health records\n
• Participate in orientation and ongoing clinical education to stay current with best practices in operating room nursing\n
• Adhere to infection control, patient safety, and hospital protocols\n
• Promote a positive, efficient, and supportive operating room environment\n
