Data Integration Developer

The Rooms To Go Digital Marketing Development team is looking for a Data Integration Developer, able to develop and support our data integration process feeding our RoomsToGo.com website and share data to our external partners. This developer will also be researching and prototyping the ever-expanding landscape of on-premise and cloud data integration tools in order to ensure the best solution for the future. The developer will work closely with the back-end, front-end and quality assurance teams to ensure a seamless integration and implementation between back-end data and website.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain existing ETL code
• Translate new requirements into new ETL code and processes
• Perform peer code reviews and unit/QA tests
• Develop and implement automated procedures to ensure data quality and data completeness
• Performance tuning of ETL processes
• Ability to perform data analysis in different source systems
• Troubleshoot and debug issues in both data and ETL processes; provide practical ad-hoc and long-term solutions and root cause analysis.
• Stay on top and showcase knowledge in the industry's latest trends and technologies in data integration
• Be on a rotational on-call schedule to handle support issues
• Participate in daily stand-up meetings
• Create and maintain requirement specifications, design/mapping specifications and ETL documentation
• Collaborate with other teams, team members and stakeholders.

Requirements:

• Three or more years of ETL/ELT development. Nice to have: Informatica PowerCenter 10.x (either on-premise or cloud).
• Hands-on knowledge of Linux, (OS, scripting, tools)
• Hands-on knowledge of working in an AWS environment (Glue, Lambda, S3, EC2, Redshift, RDS)
• Hands-on knowledge of SQL Server and MongoDB is a must, other database environments (e.g. Oracle, Snowflake) are nice to have.
• Hands-on knowledge of working with unstructured and structured data in different formats (Flatfile, JSON, XML, Parquet, etc)
• Experience in working with API's, Terraform, Python
• Knowledge of working with a Customer Data Platform are nice to have (e.g. Segment)
• Knowledge of the capabilities and limitations of data integration tools (most importantly Informatica PC).
• Ability to work with stakeholders, to understand detailed requirements and then design data integration workflows that meet that vision.
• Ability to take (constructive) feedback as a clarification of understanding and to redevelop with that in mind.
• Be passionate about resolving data quality and data delivery pain points through great design.
