Social Media & Content Specialist

Spritz Marketing is looking for a creative, detail-oriented Social Media & Content Specialist to join our team.

This role supports our Assistant Marketing Manager and works across a dynamic portfolio of clients in tourism, hospitality, restaurants, lifestyle, sports, and cultural events. From content creation and social calendars to live event coverage and analytics, this person will help bring our clients’ brands to life across social platforms.

We’re looking for someone who lives and breathes social media, understands how to engage audiences, and can manage content from concept to posting to performance tracking.

This is a remote position, but candidates must be available to attend key events in person to capture live content and support campaigns.

What You’ll Do:

  • Manage day-to-day social media activity across multiple client accounts
  • Create and maintain content calendars across platforms
  • Draft, schedule, and publish posts for Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and more
  • Ensure all content reflects each client’s unique voice and brand identity
  • Monitor and respond to comments and messages to build engagement

Content Creation & Events:

  • Capture photos, video, and behind-the-scenes content at events and activations
  • Support live social media coverage (Stories, Reels, real-time posting)
  • Cover community and tourism events for Discover San Ramon
  • Capture and create behind-the-scenes content for Spritz Marketing’s own social channels, showcasing our work, partnerships, and event experiences—even when social media is not part of the client scope

Restaurants & Hospitality:

  • Support social media for restaurant clients including:
  • Barbayani (Los Altos)
  • Anatolian Kitchen (Palo Alto)
  • Portola Bistro (Portola Valley)
  • Create content highlighting dishes, dining experiences, and promotions
  • Help maintain consistent posting and engagement across restaurant accounts

Marketing & Analytics:

  • Track and report on social media performance and analytics
  • Assist with email marketing campaigns, partnerships, and digital promotions
  • Support the Assistant Marketing Manager on client campaigns and PR-driven initiatives
  • Stay on top of social media trends, tools, and best practices
  • Help manage and update calendar listings and event promotions
  • Support development of media lists and outreach materials
  • Assist with email marketing campaigns and scheduling
  • Track and report on newsletter performance and analytics (open rates, click-through rates, etc.)
  • Support partnerships, promotions, and cross-channel marketing efforts

  • Ability to work across multiple clients and brands simultaneously
  • Strong writing skills with an ear for brand voice and tone
  • Ability to adapt tone and capture the unique voice of each brand, from tourism and cultural events to restaurants and lifestyle experiences
  • Ability to translate PR moments, campaigns, and live events into engaging social media content
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced agency environment
  • Proactive, positive, and collaborative team player
  • Comfortable attending events and capturing real-time content
  • Interest in supporting broader marketing and PR initiatives, including email campaigns, media outreach, and promotions

Personality Fit:

  • Naturally curious about culture, events, and emerging trends—and excited to turn those moments into engaging social media storytelling
  • Excited by live experiences—from festivals and cultural events to restaurant activations—and eager to capture those moments and bring them to life on social media

Skills & Experience:

  • 1–3 years experience in social media, marketing, communications, or digital content
  • Experience with social scheduling tools (Later, Hootsuite, Sprout, etc.)
  • Familiarity with Instagram Reels, Stories, and short-form video
  • Strong writing and editing skills
  • Basic photo and video capture/editing skills (smartphone + simple tools)
  • Experience tracking analytics and preparing performance reports
  • Familiarity with Canva or similar tools is a plus
  • Experience with email marketing platforms is a bonus
