The public has spoken! After an outpour of public interest, culminating with many nominees publicly promoting their position, Madame Tussauds announced Steve Wozniak, co-founder of Apple Computers and well-known American Inventor was voted as the next Bay Area’s “Tech Innovator”.

A 64 year-old San Jose native, Steve Wozniak is a Silicon Valley icon and household name for his strides in changing the face of technology. Through his innovative and influential work with Steve Jobs in founding Apple, and various philanthropic ventures, Wozniak was inducted into the Inventors Hall of Fame and was awarded the prestigious Heinz Award for Technology in 2000 among other outstanding achievement awards throughout his career.

The process will begin with Wozniak sitting with a team of Madame Tussauds master sculptors. The sitting takes between 2-3 hours, where more than 250 measurements are taken. The sculpting process takes between 3-4 months for completion.

Wozniak’s figure will be revealed to the public with a side-by-side release sometime in the Fall of 2015.
